Di'Nesha A. Josey (Dunn)
For the love of business or for the love of accounting. Solid Rock Business Solutions is built on the foundation of being torn between the two, is it business, is it accounting or is it business mixed with the pleasure of accounting? It all started approximately 10 years ago, Di'Nesha began her career working as an Accountant for a Certified Public Accountant in Charlotte, NC while pursuing and receiving her Bachelor's Degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte- BSBA- Finance with the concentration in Accounting. While working and learning through hands-on experiences that aligned with textbook knowledge, Di'Nesha was lead towards the aspiration of being able to teach others and allow others to have their 'kick start' in life through entrepreneurship. These were the same advantages that she received from the CPA that allowed her to begin her career. Several years later an opportunity to serve as a leader and engage in governmental financials at a Higher Education Institution came about and Di'Nesha separated from the CPA firm at a full-time status and chose to remain an active contractor with the CPA firm as her expertise was requested on many occasions. Having this continued experience throughout all of these years allows for her to remain knowledgeable and abreast on small business matters.

Why Young Entrepreneurship?
During a speaking engagement for experienced individuals regarding the topic of how to get hired and maintain a job, the lightbulb went off. If these experienced individuals who are not only currently in the workforce but are also parents and grandparents, are lacking the knowledge and skill that it takes to obtain and maintain a job or career, then who is teaching their children and grandchildren. There is a lot of habits, values and concepts that start from home, even the good and even the bad; including young entrepreneurial discussions.
After the “lightbulb moment” and the review of the statics within her near proximity, it sparked Di’Nesha’s interest. The idea evolved to go out and educate the youth with the idea of young entrepreneurship and enlighten them on the idea that you can be an entrepreneur from young. Through studies it has been concluded that Charlotte, NC is #2 in the state for high school drop-outs, in-school and out-of-school suspensions. The rates for those same categories increased largely over the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 school years (2015-2016 has not been released). If there was an option for high school aged individuals to have something to keep them motivated and occupied, let Solid Rock Business Solutions be that influence. Let parents and grandparents participate and come, grow and building businesses with or for their youth.
Our Niche is to assist young entrepreneurs with the same resources as we would with adult entrepreneurs but we warmly invite for parents to participate. This will be a great option for bonding but also educating and growing together as well, as assisting youth and being able to turn their passions into a reality. Teaching and growing one child at a time. How may we assist your teen or pre-teen? How may we assist your family?
